The President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro, held a meeting on Tuesday with the Director General of the Department for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cai Wei, at the Miraflores Palace.

The meeting was attended by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Carlos Faria, the Minister for Communication and Information, Freddy Nanez, and the representatives of the Friendship Group of the Venezuela-China National Assembly, President Nicolas Maduro Guerra.

Earlier, the Chinese Foreign Ministry official held a meeting with Minister Faria, to strengthen relations between the two nations, based on solidarity, brotherhood and cooperation.

During the meeting, the Venezuelan foreign minister expressed his gratitude to the government of the People’s Republic of China and its people for their unconditional support in the fight against covid-19.

This Monday, he held a meeting with the representatives of the Friendship Group of the Venezuela-China National Assembly, where a work plan was presented to consolidate cooperation mechanisms between both nations.
