X (Formerly Twitter) banned in the Brazil after disinformation row

Brazilian Supreme court order to banned X (formerly twitter) after it is failing to meet the deadline set by the judge that to be name a legal representative in the country.

Judge ‘Alexandre de Moraes’ recently order for instantly suspension of the X social platform until it fulfill the Brazilian supreme court order and pay the previous fines for disobeying country laws.

The conflict began in this year April, when supreme court judge order the X for the suspending of some accounts that are spreading false information. In reaction to this, Elon Musk (owner of X) said: “Free speech is the bedrock of democracy and an unelected pseudo-judge in Brazil is destroying it for political purposes.”

There are about 20 million users of that social media platform in the whole country and that’s quite large in number. From the last Saturday, most of the users complained about the access to that (X) platform.

X is not the first social media platform which banned in Brazil country. In the last year, Telegram also temporarily banned due to its failure of cooperation to block some profiles that spreading misinformation according to country laws.

In 2015 and 2016, Meta also faced short-term ban, as company refuse to comply with the authority rules about the user data.
